Pico, Faial e São Jorge - Triangle Islands
Faial, Pico and São Jorge islands make up the “Azores Triangle” due to their geographical proximity.
It is in these islands of the Azores that you get the real sensation of life in an archipelago, as we are presented everyday with views of the neighboring islands.
Pico Island
It's on the incredible island of Pico that you can taste the mangnificent wine and walk along the imposing Pico mountain, the highest in Portugal, wich in its interior preserves long volcanic caves. In it's lava fields there are walls (currais) between which the vineyards are born, considered world heritage.
São Jorge Island
On the island of São Jorge you can taste her famous cheese. São Jorge it's a beautiful narrow island, with it's mountain rage and it's incomparable fajãs. It is the only island in the archipelago where you can taste the famous and delicious clams.
Faial Island
On island of Faial you will find the Capelinhos volcano, the magneficent Caldeira, fields surrounded by hydrangeas and beaches with calm seas. You will also get to know the city of Horta and its bays, where you will find one of the most famous marinas in the world and from where you can see the imposing mountain of Pico.
